Participants attending this course will develop an understanding of the clinical evidence underpinning the diagnosis of asthma, ongoing care and patient self-management.

The National Review of Asthma Deaths (NRAD) published by The Royal College of Physicians found that 46% of the deaths investigated in the inquiry could have been avoided if the available best practice guidelines had been followed.

This course provides continuing professional development and updates in asthma care. It will be delivered via 4 live webinars with our expert trainer over 4 weeks.

At the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  • have an understanding of the clinical evidence underpinning the diagnosis of asthma
  • have an understanding of the ongoing care and management of the person with asthma utilising current best practice.
  • have an understanding of the correct use and care of inhaler devices.
  • have an understanding of the concept of self-management using Asthma Action Plan
