OBJECTIVES
- Outline the indications and contra-indications for joint and soft tissue injections including when to refer.
- Discuss practical considerations for consent, equipment, techniques, complications.
- Identify tips and pitfalls.
- Demonstrate practical techniques and injections to the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and knee simulated models.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the course delegates should be able to:

- Demonstrate soft tissue assessment and be able to evaluate the need for intervention with injection therapy.
- Understand and discuss the indications and contraindications for injections.
- Identify safety techniques involve in injection administration including correct equipment and complications that may occur.
- Demonstrate safe and accurate injections in joints and soft tissues, using anatomical simulation models.
