Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

The 12 hour Paediatric First Aid course is suitable for teachers, child-minders, parents and nursery school assistants and is delivered in line with the Early Years Foundation stage statutory framework.

Course content:

  • How to deal with the situation
  • An unconscious breathing casualty (children)
  • An unconscious non breathing casualty (children)
  • A choking casualty (children)
  • Recovery position
  • Wounds and bleeding
  • Burns and scalds
  • Head injuries/sprains and fractures
  • Epilepsy/diabetes
  • Childhood conditions
  • First aid kits.

Continuous individual assessment by trainer and scenarios to practice skills. Certificate valid for 3 years awarded on the day.
