Interview Skills Preparation for Students Applying to Medical, Dental & Veterinary School

This highly interactive course is hosted by experienced NHS Consultant Physicians, Dental Surgeons and Senior Lecturers who will provide support, direction and constructive feedback, giving students the best opportunity to practice and prepare for University interviews.

Suitable for: Students applying to study Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science at University.

Aim

To effectively prepare for university interviews by firstly gaining the theoretical knowledge needed to approach and answer interview questions to a high standard, followed by the opportunity to demonstrate newly found information through a series of mock Multi Mini Interviews (MMIs).

Objectives

  • Discuss how to structure and deliver strong answers.
  • Identify how to use each question as an opportunity to promote your skills and experience.
  • Identify important interview techniques, and outline good personal attributes and body language.
  • Outline interview strategies and lateral thinking questions.
  • Discuss the importance of hot topics such as work experience, The NHS and ethics.

At the end of the course delegates should be able to:
