Understand gynaecology ultrasound theory and gain invaluable hands-on practical experience with equipment as well as a scanning simulator.
Objectives
- Become familiar with the essentials of practical physics
- Understand all aspects of safety in ultrasounds
- Gain experience with instrumentation
- Learn the principles of transvaginal scanning
- Use Transvaginal ultrasound to outline anatomy, including abnormalities
- Identify the problems with early pregnancy
- Understanding the various imaging techniques in fertility and assisted reproduction techniques
- Gain an overview of basic physics of the equipment
- Gain experience with the Blue Phantom ultrasound scanning simulator
Please note, interactive practical sessions and case-based discussions will be used to review common dilemmas, rare conditions and advanced ultrasound techniques.
