Aim

Understand gynaecology ultrasound theory and gain invaluable hands-on practical experience with equipment as well as a scanning simulator.

Objectives

Become familiar with the essentials of practical physics
Understand all aspects of safety in ultrasounds
Gain experience with instrumentation
Learn the principles of transvaginal scanning
Use Transvaginal ultrasound to outline anatomy, including abnormalities
Identify the problems with early pregnancy
Understanding the various imaging techniques in fertility and assisted reproduction techniques
Gain an overview of basic physics of the equipment
Gain experience with the Blue Phantom ultrasound scanning simulator

Please note, interactive practical sessions and case-based discussions will be used to review common dilemmas, rare conditions and advanced ultrasound techniques.
