This safeguarding training course is for those who need to understand how to protect an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.

Suitable for: Those that need to uphold the welfare and wellbeing of adults at risk of harm, especially those that are vulnerable, within their workplace i.e. Healthcare, Dental, Charitable or Voluntary settings.

Be able to develop the strategy, operations and oversight needed to upholding the protection of adults at risk of harm.

Objectives

  • Outline the Adult Safeguarding Champion’s role in the safeguarding process
  • Confirm the process for referral
  • State the responsibilities in supporting staff in Adult safeguarding
  • Understand the process of investigation and referral to relevant agencies
  • Analyse and maintain records.
